🧠 Pitch

"Pilot 227.. Non Identified objects on your way.. Careful, you are also entering an Asteroid field.."

As an spaceship pilot, you must destroy Asteroids and enemy ships, as well as dodging some deadly lasers.. It's an endless scroller shooter where the more you stay alive and destroy obstacles or enemies, the more points you get. Things get faster as long as the game continues and that's it, it was a quick project made in 10 days just to try making that kind of game.

🕹️ Gameplay Snapshot

    Pilot & Shoot

    The game is really simple, you can move on each sides with your ship. The game will go further automaticly so you can just move to dodge or aim better things. You have 5 health points, once reached 0 you lose the game and your score will be shown on the screen.

    There are 3 types of enemies you will have to go against:

    - Asteroids: The basic one, spawn every few seconds and will just gravitate from the top to the bottom of your screen. they can spawn on 3 different sizes, for each size when you shot them they will decrease an set amount of times and then explode once. Touching them will damage your ship.

    - Lasers: A set pattern of laser will spawn on each sides of the screen.. for some seconds they will just shot a slight line to show you the pattern, then you have to place yourself depending of the lasers to not take damages, then they will shot for some seconds.. You can't damage them and can only wait for the to shoot and dissapear.

    - Ennemy Ship: The last kind of ennemy, it's an set amount of ship that will spawn on the top of the screen and shot downward in your direction, once they shot they will replace themselves. You can damage them by shooting, and touching them 3 times will result in them exploding and dissapearing.

🛠️ My Contribution

- Game Design (Inspiration from a kind of Space Invader, what are the enemies, how you move and shoot, how to win and lose, etc..)

- UX/UI (Basic Main Menu and Pause Menu)

- Sound Design (free to use sounds)

- Programmation (C# code in VisualStudio from A to Z in the project)

- Art (Use of the SyntyStore 3D Assets)

💡 Lesson Learned

It was during summer vacations and I wanted to make a real shot project to try the design of other kind of games that I maybe wouldn't have the chance to try. I made it short to be able to finish it fully, even tho I would have liked adding a lot of things to make the game more unique, satisfying and juicy, but I prefered to keep it simple.
